I found one of the interesting comment in Rhetorical Devices
is euphemism. Euphemism creates a positive meaning amongst words which changes
how one my feel about a situation. Take for example, research has been done
that words make a difference when one votes. I can word a survey, “What do you
think about the choice of the killing of a baby?” people would vote against it.
Now, “what do you think about pro-choice abortion?” These both will create different
result on the votes, but the words used are different. I couldn’t believe that I knew about this type
before I read it in chapter 3.
