Dec. 3 Question 3

Some of the things I have known, I have become a believer but are not straight foward. One of the concepts that I would have like to have been further discussed (Self-Fulfilling Prophecy). Exaggerated or distorted expectations this is something that I have looked into dearly. While, facts are not clear cut one may wonder what the matter really? What makes things around us act a certain way? Furthermore, I would have like to see where this discussion would have taken us. The blogs I believe would have been really fun to read. Some would say this is not logical yet, it is a concept. This in fact is out of the ordinary. Although, ordinary is usually straight forward with all evidence pointing into one thing. While, that one thing can only be upon the logic. How come we don’t focus on what we may not know? I am just saying this would be really interesting and creative.

Dec 3 week Question 2

My favorite thing was meeting my group over the phone; never done that with someone or people I have never meet before. It just goes to show how innovative our instructor Perez is. I have never though I would’ve taken a class like this ever in my life. I didn’t think that I would get along with my group members because of the fact I didn’t meet them. Well I had the best time with both of my groups even though we got to a rough start on some instances. All in all, “What team doesn’t have their rough times?” It is hard for me to say anything that was my least favorite, yet I kind of would’ve loved someone to challenge my blogs more. I love trading ideas or arguments. So, people who posted upon my page mostly agreed. Although, thanks for those who posted anything upon my page. I really love that you did that. What can improve… Maybe people posting one comment on every classmate’s blog. That would be pretty much it. Fun class…

Dec 3 week Question 1

When the opening the book THiNK there’s a statement of a defense lawyer; “ who claimed that Adolf Eichmann was just following orders as many people would do.” I was stocked and still am, because I never really thought about people just following order which really create a new way of looking upon things. Nothing has really opened my minded more than that defense statement. I learned from this class how to analysis more life. Furthermore, I have done so previously in life. Yet, the book ThiNK has really put things into perceptive. I don’t think as I use too think, so it has helped me grow and continue to grow. Yet, I always challenged the books I have read because in my opinion, “What good does it do us if we don’t challenge the literature we read.” I have always had an “abductive and inductive reasoning.” This would make me a great lawyer but, I don’t think I will practice law. This book is great for the most part. The course I definitely loved, instructor Perez you’re great. I learned how to blog “innovation,” I love it. Thank you everybody!!!

Nov. 18 Question 2

One of the great things of which I observed was a white lion. I watched a television program in which people where saving white lions. The program to save white lions; therefore, requesting philanthropy  where there focus is upon. The group said there was a declining and extinct “white lions.” They were doing research in one instance. The research was they put out these six lion. Yet, the loins where housed in captivity. This enables them to enter the wild life. The surrounding of the white lion must be to his advantage. What I mean by advantage is due to the camouflage. Therefore, it’s distinguish them to stand out in it’s surrounding. Therefore, the white color does not blend in. I used “Consistency with Well-Established Theories” which is in my writing. The “Relevance to the problem Under Study” is that the phenomenon can’t co-exist in its environment due to the lions color “white.” The testability was the hypothesis that they can survive in the wild, yet the lion where release and most of them starved. Thank you for your read…

Horoscope???

I must say that horoscope is really followed amongst many. In my opinion the prediction of my horoscope today is not accurate at all. While it is not an opinion it is a stated fact about that it is not accurate in this instance. I talked to someone about the horoscope which we talked how vague they were. Therefore, the vaguer a horoscope usually is the more you can follow into it. Also, creating in one’s mind to follow more.  I consider the fact that I don’t know no one with a new relationship. Yet, I would be truly happy for someone who is in a relationship. I kept to myself which means I am not going out of my way to go into someone’s life. This is surprising because I have yet to see this happened. This brings curiosity to bring me to what they may have too brought. I feel very strong. I kind of want to figure out if anyone is in a new relationship. It’s not accurate…

Question 3 week Nov. 5

Social Networking is the concept that I found useful or interesting. Yet, I have considered the time spend on “Facebook,” I use too spend long hours, I have deleted my account. Social Networking has its’ good concepts as well as bad concepts. Social networks shape our lives in the everyday.

Communication in a well form is to think beforehand upon the message to send. This here take critical thinking, the form of word or action upon a picture or words can be permeate. Therefore, ones pictures or words can forever haunt them because they don’t know how to think critically. Take for example, there was a lawyer graduate who went to Jamaica to celebrate that she graduated. A big law firm saw who a picture of her of her smoking a joint on Facebook. The really created a bad reputation. While I believe Facebook is good we must think rationally. There is family, friends, influences, ect… but we must be able to us reason for post. Thank you…

Week Nov. 5 Question 1

Today my worldviews are being constantly being shaped; because there are different issues rising up. I have a basic openness to a certain point. The openness to hear people out and welcome there opinion upon certain matters. Yet, I usually will find people who contradict there own notions. Take for example, last week we discussion regulation on commercial upon the youth. On one side the statement of “Parents bear the primary responsibility for feeding their children.” This is contradicts itself because the parent in my opinion should take responsibility of what the child eats. I usually find the definition of the word or words in the content. This helps me decide which side I will stand upon. Yet, I sometimes try to find middle grown.

There are times when one needs to see both side and say “okay” this works and that doesn’t. Yet, taking a little from both sides. For example, one has to look all over a law, we may have a vague concept yet someone else like Senators are looking at all possibilities. These issue are tough to tackle. So, I use inductive and abductive reasoning when middle ground has too be met. We can learn from each other in all walks of life.

Oct 29 Question 1

Product placement is great amongst itself; this is the location where the product is to be placed. This will be great upon known how and why things are place. The perfect example is seen in a grocery market where everything is done for a purpose. The purpose in a grocery store is in the place products in certain places. Furthermore, every product placed in a certain spot has too have a value, where the product will make a certain amount of sales, or price it is willing to pay.

The fact, that everything should have certain placement of products. Milk is most a need in most households; I walked to get two gallons of milk in the grocery store which, I passed every product with seeing every single product placed mostly upon necessity. That was amazing in my opinion. The products like cereal you can see which brands where targeting child as well as adults. I remember my Introduction to Marketing instructor said you can see a “rainbow” of colors when one looks through the cereal ilea. Product placement is really great.

I find the weakness upon “Misleading Language” this because the figurative language my not stick. Yet, “Like a rock” has a catchy phrase to it. I remember the commercial. I remember singing certain commercial and a baby. Sing the songs of this one. J

Oct. 29 Question 2

The perspectives of advertising and children are becoming an instrument to regulate the food industries as health is the issue. The discuss for healthier vs. for fundamental rights to promote, which leads to a healthier diet or to regulate the foundation of free speech. Margo G. Wootan and Robert Liodice each have a side. Yet, when Margo G. Wootan states in, Regulating Food Advertising to Children; “Parents bear the primary responsibility for feeding their children.” This made his argument weak.

So I will elaborate upon Robert Liodice and the article, “Advertising and Freedom of Speech: Beware of the Food Nanny.” The best argument that stands in is the fundamental right of the first Amendment. Free speech is the very core value that gives personal responsibility and choice. This is the nature of having the right to speak. While, Americans can give up a little for the price of regulation, it becomes inevitable to bear and see it taken away.

Obesity is a problem curable Liodice states. Furthermore, our freedoms shouldn’t be in fridge upon a problem that can be fixed. Government shouldn’t be the one to take our free speech. The first Amendment is a valuable one.

Week Oct. 29 question 3

The concept that I have picked up this week is SWOT. The (SWOT) strength, weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats is to evaluate marketing strategies. To look into the market as if there will be a possible opportunities or marketing weaknesses. These tactics are usually used by marketing groups to evaluate how a company or companies are doing.

The first concept of SWOT is the function of strength. Furthermore, what are the strengths of a in the marketing pitch. Therefore, they see how it relates to a certain group. The process of looking into strengths is why the marketing concept would work. To keep this short why will it work?

The second is weaknesses are there any weaknesses in the concept. Marketing wants to have no weakness inside of the matter alone. The matter being what so ever; Therefore, making pursuit of the best possible solution. This enables the company to take any weaknesses out. Weaknesses are bad because they can hurt the thing or things being sold.

The second is opportunities, what opportunities the concept presents. What are the basic opportunities by using a certain strategy? These questions help the core purpose of the marketing strategy. Looking for opportunities that may present themselves, and do present themselves.

Finally threats can be the fact of having the words, images, and/or theories that can be misinterpret. The marketing team might have had the best possible of intension, yet some incumbent or incumbents may have thought otherwise. Take for example, Tacos Bell had a dog that spoke Spanish. This brought about group that felt degraded, so Tacos Bell took off the dog once and for all.

In closing the process of SWOT is a great way to evaluate the marketing strategic process. There is a lot to learn about marketing pitches in all aspects. We are moving in advance the more we know about these things.

oct 15 question 3

I will pick one conception that really stands out to me. “Self-Serving Biases” errors that we may not understand, leads some to draw upon conclusion. Three include misconception that we are in control, overestimating ourselves comparison to others, and exaggerate our strengths and minimize our weaknesses. The misconception that we control chance when it come to lottery tickets. I believe that people rely of luck more than anything. The sales of lottery tickets have boasted up even in a Recession. Next, overestimation ourselves comparison to others, the ability that we feel that it is our fault for irrational events to happen to us and feel like one is in control. This misconception really creates us to think it is ones fault. Furthermore, we might believe that we had control over the situation. Finally, exaggerate our strengths and minimize our weaknesses, the notion that we are overconfidence is vital because if we don’t reach a dream one can put themselves down. This understanding that we can only do so much creates a burden when one doesn’t reach a goal. Thank you for the read.

Oct. 15 Question 1

“Wisdom is the greatest virtue” by Aristotle. The function of wisdom making wise decisions in aspects of life. The is not readily for a function of a tool. The wise tool of what tools should be used. This is similar into knowledge in a way. Take for example; I know that there is going to be wisdom of problems from the pass. Furthermore, to learn from the pass is wisdom; Therefore, learning about mistakes in the pass can help from running into the same problems. The knowledge that is taught in school is actually more about memory. Knowledge seems to be more of memory; this is why is one of the reasons to why I am thinking about leaving school. So school seem to push course that don’t align with careers. Yet, to whoever read this don’t consider leaving school. Furthermore, looking into my own opinion will create why knowledge is different from wisdom.

Chapter 3 Question 3

I found one of the interesting comment in Rhetorical Devices is euphemism. Euphemism creates a positive meaning amongst words which changes how one my feel about a situation. Take for example, research has been done that words make a difference when one votes. I can word a survey, “What do you think about the choice of the killing of a baby?” people would vote against it. Now, “what do you think about pro-choice abortion?” These both will create different result on the votes, but the words used are different.  I couldn’t believe that I knew about this type before I read it in chapter 3.

Question 2 Week of October 1, 2012

I used sarcasm to really reflect upon people’s insults. I really feel they don’t know how to interpret sarcasm. I was told the other day what if I steal a credit card number on a family member. I simple said, “I would steal the number” they simple said nothing in reply. This really strike people as is he really saying that as for reals or just too be smart? I find if you’re going to insult someone please do it in a matter of respect. I use sarcasm, when I feel someone is insulting me. Furthermore, I will not sit there an talk for a long period of time if I feel really insulted. I know when someone ask a real legitimate question. They usually don’t direct it towards someone.
I use hyperbole to say when I say a basketball game. For example, I said, “the was the greatest game I have ever seen.” Yet, it was a great game and I loved it. Although it wasn’t the greatest game I have ever seen.

Ride and opportunity

Ride exemplifies the characteristics of a good critical thinker. In the world realizing goals she went into physics and English. Her college’s friends would call her as being an effective communicator. Also, she knew about research to resolve issues. Therefore, Ride double majored in college in English and Physics. While she has honed her skills, the in fact help for Ride to communicate with writing for the NASA. Her analytical skills are amongst the elite very profound; she is chosen for Capcom for the first and second shuttle.
Some people would say I missed a great opportunity and passed it up. I was offered to work in any place I considered at a Casino. I was offered to work being a manager for an oil company. I was offered to work for a hedge fund company. The one that I really remember the most is the Hedge fund company. I was think that to join a hedge fund company now I would have too leave school. I was going to leave school. Yet, I sometimes feel that I should have just went for it.

Concept for week Sept. 24

The concept that I picked up this week is Rationalists: Religious Beliefs and Reason. These effect our world every day. Rationalists is that reason and evidence should maintain consistent with peoples belief. Evidence is followed by reason; therefore, when you believe that you are full evidences then where does reason for that doesn’t have evidence fit in?

Atheist not all believe that faith is all irrational, some of them find it hard to believe in God. The world of an atheist is that maybe shape upon how he doesn’t see evidence towards God. The reason that there is no evidence that he exist really creates the notion of not believing. While other religion belief in more than one God. They believe in Gods.

An Agnostic person may believe upon God and with ultimately faith. There for if his reason is question he may still turn to the faith. Faith in God as being all real. To question it is a lack of faith to some extent. There is a mix of people within faith and reason. Therefore, making this concept of Rationalist really great.

Existence

The theory of evolution is that it is the survival of the fittest. God as being one is not incompatible because science is notion of proof. The notion of God is that everything already exist. The good and bad has always been. Yet, one God holds a higher standard because people need rules. While evolution is that we progress with our rules and as we move forward.

While one say prove it the other says done. The first three maybe different the unmoved mover, the cosmological Argument, The Argument from Degree, and The Teleological. The only escape is to really rely upon that given to oneself. This is he who creates his own life becomes one. He would reassure that God does exist.

Aquinas would have to use version from the scripture. This is the real assurance he has. Therefore, saying that faith is enough to believe that there is something greater. The proof of God existence is one and only. While, I think this is what Aquinas may say if he was still alive.

Career question

My strengthen for choosing a career. My reasoning for my strongest best suited choice is that I am a problem solver. For this reason my logic to understand how things work or function plays a key role, I learn by knowing. This helped my find finance of interest. This type of reasoning helps me to go further beyond just memorizing formulas.

I find it easy to know that things work a certain way. That they serve a basic function and math has that. Furthermore, math is straight forward as it usually has one answer to the problem. This in fact helps me really think about using reasoning. Looking for evidence in whatever my reason may come to the conclusion. Therefore, I love to know about business and the market.

It has really been great to know that I need to know about how thing function. This type of reasoning helps me to conclude good choices for the economy. No one ever can really know it all yet trying to study certain aspects helps me. Thank you for the read…

inductive argument

Being a referee which has its up’s and down, majority of the time a referee keeps the games functioning in a well manner. Furthermore, this is the first time I have ever been a referee for any sport. Well, I am a referee for Elementary 4th grade through 6th grade.  I have to be alert and ready for judgment toward our players and coaches.

I during one game I was being yelled by a coach, and a player. Yet, I didn’t asset the situation because I didn’t feel I need to. I figured its basketball and they need to vent. I was approach the day after the game by a parent. She elaborated that, “no one should yell at the coach in that matter.” Furthermore, “I would have taken my kid out of the game, if he would ever yell at an adult in such a way.”

She felt that coach was it was affecting the players as the coach was a bad example. I tried to see it in a parent’s perspective which was how I would want my coach and child to act. We adult should set the good example for our children. Although I am not a parent so I wouldn’t know first-hand. My interest is the kids’ well-being.

I wrote notes about what was the issue between with the parent, who pointed out a problem. This is something that needs to be address, I have been writing the issue to be clear. So I am going to schedule a meeting.
